The main focus of this pillar is, undoubtedly, the Province's capital town which offers, along with an exceptionally beautiful historical centre with ruins which date back from the Romanesque era up to the Piedmontese Baroque, a series of events which, starting from the Palio, the Douja d'or, to the Fairs Festival, cover the months between April and November, and attract tens of thousands of tourists.

Around the capital there are numerous villages whose agriculture is mainly based on the production of wine, and which offer a wide gastronomic variety with unique and delicious specialties.

The most important town is certainly Moncalvo, both for its dimension and for the variety of activities and services it offers.

Furthermore, it is here that you can find the best and most aromatic truffle of Piedmont.

To take full advantage of everything this area has to offer, the best times of year are April to June, and September to November.

The main attractions, as previously stated, are the fairs, the festivals and the Palio, which can be combined with a more cultural type of tourism, especially in the capital, and with trekking and cycling itineraries.
